Italian dressing is so tasty, but did you know it's easy to make on your own? In this tutorial, learn how to make the seasoning mix, which can be used for dressing, salad and pasta toppings, or even marinades.

You Will Need:

* 1 tbsp. garlic salt

* 1 tbsp. onion powder

* 1 tbsp. sugar

* 2 tbsp. dried oregano

* 1 tsp. black pepper

* 1/4 tsp. dried thyme

* 1 tsp. dried basil

* 1 tbsp. dried parsley

* 1/4 tsp. celery salt

* 2 tbsp. salt

* 1/4 c. white vinegar

* 2/3 c. canola oil

* 2 tbsp. water

* Discount store (optional)

Step 1: Combine all ingredients in a bowl

Combine garlic salt, onion powder, sugar, oregano, pepper, thyme, basil, parsley, celery salt, and salt in your small mixing bowl.

Decrease the amount of salt if you are on a low sodium diet.

Step 2: Mix all ingredients well

Mix all of the ingredients until they are well combined.

Step 3: Store in an airtight container

Pour the mix into an airtight container and store in the refrigerator until you are ready to use it.

Buy your spices and containers in a discount store to save money.

Step 4: Make dressing by adding vinegar, oil, and water

Make Italian dressing, if desired, by whisking together the white vinegar, canola oil, water, and two tablespoons of the mix.

Step 5: Sprinkle on meats or in soups, sauces, and stews

Add Italian flavorings to your favorite meal by sprinkling the dry mix on meats or in soups, sauces, and stew.

Did you know? Spaghetti and meatballs is virtually unknown in Italy. It was originally served when mom-and-pop restaurants run by new immigrants opened in the U.S.
